Where are the assets from the designers?!

Hi Andrew Chalkley, I'm finding that the zip folder which I imagine contains html files is empty! Am i missing something here?

I actually reported this same error. Their team could not reproduce it but did provide them for me. If you ping support they might provide them for you as well. It will also let them know more than one person has had this issue.

Hi Justin Radcliffe,

The assets are in the teacher's notes of this video, as well as the video before this one. I just checked both links and was able to download them successfully. Hope this helps.

Hi Joel Kraft!

The issue is the link in the teacher's notes labeled "Here are the assets from the designers" which downloads a zip file - "js-express-basics-flashcard-assets". This file is empty. The other links work as expected, I can download the general project files if I wished to, however these project files don't include the html template files "from the designers" which we require to complete the "challenge" of converting to pug files.

Thanks for taking the time to investigate and get back to me, I hope this clarifies a little the issue that I had (and still have).

Justin Radcliffe,

Thanks for helping troubleshoot this. Are you one mac or windows? What browser are you using?

To make sure I understand, you download the zipped assets folder, unzip it, and you get an empty folder named js-express-basics-flashcard-assets? Can you try downloading this zip file, and see if you get the same results?

Try it now. I tested in Windows, where it appears to be working.

Works for me now - thank you. (I tested both the file linked here in comments and over on the Teachers Notes). You are appreciated!

Joel Kraft,

I'm on a windows and i'm using chrome, I also just tested using IE11 and get the same results. I can normally double-left click on a zip file in my downloads folder and see it's contents. With this link (and the one you provided above), following the same process the folder has no contents.

"js-express-basics-flashcard-assets" is how the zip file appears named in my downloads folder.

Hi Joel The same is still occurring with me as well. The last emails I had with Rob and Jay from support were on the 11th. There should be all of the testing that went on in those for this issue as well. My settings are Windows 10, Chrome - Version 59.0.3071.115 (Official Build) (64-bit). I no longer need the assets as Jay previously provided them but I did want to let you know that this is still an issue. I did not have this issue with other zips prior to this one, and I don't believe I've experienced it with any other files sets since this one.

It might help just to toss it on Github until the bug gets stomped for any others who may have the same experience
